Adopt an olive tree is also an original gift idea to offer to relatives or friends, nature and quality product lovers

This city has so many wonders that a guided tour is a must, both for tourists wishing to discover Siena for the first time but also for those who decide to visit it again. The beauty and history of Siena are closely linked to those of its territory, shaped by the centuries-old and skilful work of man: our visit will be an opportunity to get to know some of the most evocative corners of this extraordinary city, discover its links with the countryside and contribute to the preservation of the landscape heritage of its territory.

Program

The guided tour begins in Terzo di Camollia, from the panoramic view overlooking Fontebranda where your eyes, following the outline of the walls running along the hill ridges, are free to wander over the city and the green valley wedging up inside its oldest heart. An extraordinary view on the history of Siena where the imposing size of the Duomo seems talking to the severe and grandiose Basilica of San Domenico, a church so dear to the people of Siena and a privileged place to get in touch with the soul and spirit of this city. The visit of San Domenico takes us through the alleys innervating the slopes of the hills on which Siena was founded, in search of the identity and feelings that have animated its people through the centuries. Walking through the different districts (Contrade) we arrive at the highest point of the city where the view suddenly opens onto the majestic Cathedral, an extraordinary lace of marble and semi-precious stones worked by the skilled hands of the most gifted Middle Ages artists. The journey through the history of Siena leads us to touch the heart of the city and its ancient and ever-present passions, renewed every year in Piazza del Campo: it is here, talking about the Palio, its times and rituals that our visit ends.
